Client Services Working Group

The Client Services Working Group is interested in how people are treated by the Ontario Disability Support Program and that people receive the proper level of benefits from the program.

Client Services Working Group has worked on a strategy of encouraging recipients to complain to the provincial Ombudsman about problems with the way they are treated or difficulties communicating with their local ODSP office. Information has been distributed and posted on our web site, about how to make a complaint and what types of issues might be raised. Check out the website at Ombudsman section

The ODSP offices have started to provide services to applicants and recipients in a new way throughout the province. Generally speaking, each ODSP recipient has an assigned Customer Service Representative and Income Support Specialist. The Ministry has said that this is to bring recipients closer to the person (ISS) who would be making eligibility decisions on their file.
