Policy and Research Committee--2016 Report

The mandate of the Policy/Research Committee (PRC) is to research current issues related to ODSP law, policy and reform proposals, to recommend positions on key issues to the Steering Committee and general membership, and to produce letters, submissions or information papers that the Coalition can use in its advocacy work.

Earnings & Employment Supports Working Committee

The Coalition’s Earnings & Employment Support Committee (E&ESC) lobbies and monitors provincial income and employment support for ODSP recipients. The committee consists of co-chairs (one ODSP recipient and one service provider), legal clinic staff, Employment Supports providers, community agencies’ representatives and ODSP recipients from across the province.  The E& ES committee usually meets every second month via conference call.

Access to ODSP Committee

Access Committee:  discusses issues and develops recommendations related to the applications process, service delivery, and access to benefits.  This committee also deals with issues related to the Accessibility of Ontarians with Disabilities Act, and how well ODSP offices, policies and practices provide the accommodation that recipients need.
