The immediate families of people with disabilities not only have extra responsibilities assisting their family member with a disability, they also face extra financial challenges. The ODSP rules hurt families in various ways. The Coalition has prepared this short information piece as background for the February 2015 Family Day Action. It explains what happens when people on ODSP form relationships, and how recent changes have left families on ODSP with less income after inflation.
